Erich earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1996 and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine (KSUCVM) in 2001. He became a Diplomate of the American Veterinary Dental College in 2021. He is the only board-certified veterinary dentistry and oral surgery specialist in Nebraska. His cases are limited to Dentistry and Oral Surgery. He performs pro-bono dentistry for more than a dozen local law enforcement departments. He is the veterinary dentist at Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo. His mentor is Dr. Barron Hall, DVM, FAVD, AVDC of Vienna, VA.
He loves to work, but when not working, he enjoys spending time with his family, and anything outdoors, especially in the mountains. He is a member of the Nebraska Veterinary Medical Association and the Foundation for Veterinary Dentistry. He donates to Fontenelle Nature Association, Ducks Unlimited, Bellevue Women’s Club, American Cancer Society, the Robert Wiggs Memorial Scholarship at Texas A&M, the Foundation for Veterinary Dentistry, and dozens of other charities.
